This is a video of the man who invented the my therapy buddy, the self proclaimed first therapy doll for adults. Besides being, in my opinion really creepy there are some serious psychological issues that need to be addressed.

The therapy buddy looks like a boob. In fact in a later video the inventor walks in carrying two of them in the breast position
The two therapy buddies have a woman's voice but he has named them Steve and Adam

The inventor has a gay partner but has a fetish with breast
He cries when they reject him, he cant understand how the rest of the world functions without this object

During the video you will note that he mentions the therapy is better than a mother because when the therapy buddy says everything will be alright it means it unlike mothers who do not mean it. Looking at this inventor from an object relations perspective it is easy to see that he had some sort of difficulties with his mother. At some point in his childhood he must have experienced some sort of inconsistencies with his mothers parenting. It is very probable that he was unable to merge his mother as both a good and bad object. Therefore, the world is seen as a dangerous unstable place in his mind. More than likely all women are capable of being really good or really bad but not both at the same time. This type of thinking creates a great amount of anxiety and the doll is obviously a coping mechanism to help him overcome this anxiety. Obviously this guy would need tons of therapy but this might explain the tip of the iceberg.
